"24" is my favorite TV show because of his top notch acting, superb action sequences, characters, storylines and screenplays. Kiefer Sutherland, showing multiple times his talent, doesn't leave any doubt with his compromised portrayal of my favorite fictional character ever, Jack Bauer, and the rest of the cast is excellent as well. Although sometimes there are some weaknesses regarding some of the subplots and supporting characters, it isn't enough to hamper the rest of the series.
Obviously contributing to the success is the innovative format of the real time and the split screens, which as a result of his popularity, has been parodied countless times in popular culture. That proves the influence of "24", and let's hope that it gets renewed for a ninth season.
